Santi Cazorla reflected on the win against Bayern Munich saying it was a must win game if the Gunners are hopeful of progressing through to the next stage of the Champions League.
Arsenal managed to break the deadlock with a Giroud goal in the 77th minute after he came off the bench, with Ozil following up in extra time to make it 2-0 to the Gunners. The Spaniard has made 13 appearances for Arsenal this season and has been a vital part of the team, playing as a holding midfielder. With Arsenal still sitting bottom of their group, this is what the midfielder had to say about the win and Arsenal’s chances in the competition.
“We feel good after the win, it was important for us and it was a difficult game against a big team. We are very happy and proud of the result.
“We had to play close today because they had the ball, they have very good players and we had to defend together. After we counter-attacked and the whole team gave a great performance, which is a best thing.
“We have three more games, it was tough for us – we had to win today to try to go to the next round. The most important thing was to win and now we have to prepare for the next games, against Bayern away, Dinamo at home and Olympiacos away.
