Regardless of Leicester City’s unwillingness to sell the player last week, doubts have circled over the Algerian international’s future at the club. Reports have suggested that Leicester have offered the player a new contract, however he is yet to of signed the contract and it looks like he could be on his way to North London.
On Saturday morning Eurosport broke with the story that Mahrez has agreed to join the Gunners after the club directly contacted his agent. It is to be believed that Arsenal are now prepared to put in a formal offer of £40 million. The players agent was at Arsenal’s match against Lens last night according the agent’s Facebook feed:

Ranieri has already stated that he will not keep any player against his will; however the club are more likely to want between £45m to £50m for the player. The report goes on to claim that the deal is likely to be completed in quick fashion.
