The Gunners play Burnley at the Emirates stadium today, and are looking to capitalize after a very interesting day in the Premier league yesterday. The day saw Liverpool lose, Manchester United draw and Manchester City draw.
If Arsenal wins today it will see them climb to second place, with only five points separating them and London rivals Chelsea. However the last time Wenger’s side played Burnley it saw the team struggle for 90 minutes and only manage to get the three points thanks to a last minute winner via Laurent Koscielny.
Arsenal are likely to line up in the same way as last week, however the game should see the return of Hector Bellerin who should fill in at right back. The midfield duo will be likely to be made up of Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey, even though Francis Coquelin is fit again.
The England forward Walcott was in training pictures this week, however the player was ruled out by Arsene Wenger, so he’ll be fortunate to make the bench. This means up top the Gunners should line up: Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Alex Iwobi and Olivier Giroud.
Anything but a win will be disappointing today, as we need to try and make up ground after yesterday’s miserable day for our rivals.
Here’s how the Gunners line up:
Cech, Gabriel, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Xhaka, Ramsey, Iwobi, Ozil, Alexis, Giroud.
