According to the latest reports from ESPN, the youngster Dan Crowley has a number of clubs wanting to bring him in on loan next season. Although the 19-year old still hasn’t made an appearance for the firs team yet, he’s quite the prospect with the club purchasing him from Aston Villa’s Academy when he was only 16 for a reported fee of £850,000.
The player was on a season-long loan at Oxford United last year but got recalled early due to an attitude problem, with some Oxford fans suggesting he acted like he was above the club. The Englishman then went on to go on loan to Go Ahead Eagles, who play in the Eredivisie, making 16 appearances and scoring two goals.
This is where he seems to have turned heads, with his dribbling strength and his ability to drive the ball forward from central midfield. The clubs interested are said to be Fulham and Hannover, though with Fulham located in London and the ability to play in the league below Arsenal it would certainly be the better option.
With only League one football under his belt while at Barnsley and Oxford, Championship football would be a lot more beneficial, with some big teams in the league at present and some good grounds to play at, including the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland.
Though it’s not guaranteed he’ll move on loan, with Arsenal having a preseason tour of both Australia and China, there will be plenty of game time to prove himself to the manager if he wishes to play a part in the first team this season.
