It all started off well for the Gunners with Welbeck hitting it in of his shoulder to make it 1-0. Alexandre Lacazette made it 2-0 soon after with a sublime finish to bring a close to the first half, finally, Welbeck finished it off to make it 3-0 with a great finish in the bottom left. It’s nice to see Arsenal pick up the three points for a change, hopefully, they can push on from this and pick up a bit of form.
Petr Cech – 7
He didn’t have much to do in the first half, which is a positive change. However, towards the end of the match, he did make a few fine saves to keep a clean sheet.
Shkodran Mustafi – 8
Looked a lot more confident and if he had something to prove to the fans and certainly the boss who tried to sell him a week earlier.
Laurent Koscielny – 8
Solid at the back, as usual, was very worrying when he was limping in the first half.
Nacho Monreal – 8
He fits in well as the third centre back this formation, can always rely on him
Hector Bellerin – 7
Worked well down the right-hand side, but really needs to work on his play in the final third.
Sead Kolasinac – 8
Looked good going up that left hand side, he was unlucky with that shot that went off the opponent’s hand, should have been a penalty. Hopefully, he will stay in that position for the next few games.
Granit Xhaka – 7.5
Played well, however he did give the ball away a few times with his long range passing.
Aaron Ramsey – 7
Didn’t have the best first half, he seems to be the player that gives it away the most, frustrating to watch. He did get in quite a few good positions and should have even had a goal in the second half.
Mesut Ozil – 7.5
Looked really good, seemed to be playing in a sort of false nine positions in the first half. He looked like he wanted to prove the pundits wrong in the match and went some way to do that.
Danny Welbeck – 8.5
Managed to get the first goal for the Gunners, but I wouldn’t exactly say it was a great finish; he seems to be the king of flukes. However that can’t be said for the second, which was a great finish into the bottom left.
Alexandre Lacazette – 8
Great finish for Arsenal’s second; it’s been a while since we had such a prolific goal scorer in the team. He’s definitely the preferred forward instead of Giroud, the play seems to be a lot faster with him in the line-up.
Alexis Sanchez – 6.5
Olivier Giroud – 6
Francis Coquelin – 6
