Arsenal host Bournemouth today in the Premier League, coming from back to back defeats the team will be hoping to turn their form around. The title challenge seems to be over before it actually begun, with most fans just wanting the club to return to the Champions League. All the injury news for the game can be found in the post yesterday.
This could be the first game for a while that the team reverts to a back four, with Arsenal’s defensive frailties starting to shine in the last few games. After the departure of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, it means that Hector Bellerin should start on the right hand with Sead Kolasinac or Monreal on the other. After Wenger’s failure to sell Shkodran Mustafi towards the end of the transfer window, it really shows what the manager thinks of the player. This means when fit we’re likely to see Laurent Koscielny and Rob Holding in the middle of the defence, which it should be today.
This means that a midfield trio will return, hopefully, we’ll see Francis Coquelin in front of the defence. If the Frenchman just sits there and doesn’t go forward then we should hopefully see fewer goals going in the back of our net. Alongside Coquelin will be Aaron Ramsey as the duo, with a defensive midfielder in the mix, it means that Ramsey will be given a bit more freedom, something which he’s thrived on when playing for Wales. In front will be Ozil who’s been in the media quite a lot recently after falling out with ex Arsenal pundits, hopefully, he can do his talking on the pitch.
On either flank it should be Alexis, here’s hoping that he’s perked up after being disappointed that he’s not playing his football In the North West. On the other flank, we should hopefully see Alex Iwobi, some have been calling for the inclusion of Reiss Nelson, but he just played for the under 23’s against Manchester United last night so won’t be included in the squad.
Upfront should be Alexandre Lacazette, the player really needs a run of form after getting off the mark in his Premier League, but not scoring since. Hopefully, the team can push on and get three points and try and turn this bad form around.
