Arsenal wrapped up all three points in tonight’s game, with the Gunners looking like they’re in full flow with their new signing Alexandre Lacazette scoring both of the goals.
It was a strong side the manager put out, with Alexis Sanchez making his first Premier League start of the season, looking like he’s back to his best. Mesut Ozil started on the bench, still yet to get back to match fitness after his injury but came on late on in the game.
Alexis nearly scored in the first half, where he managed to place his free-kick only inches wide. West Brom should have had a penalty soon after, with Mustafi once again thinking it was a good idea to go to ground in the box. Fortunately for the Gunners, the player decided not to appeal and instead carried on.
Arsenal got the opening goal through an Alexis free-kick, hitting the crossbar, falling to the Gunners new signing to head in. Not long after Nacho Monreal managed to stop a certain West Brom goal after clearing it off the line to keep the Gunners lead.
Arsenal went into the break at 1-0 and came out a lot more reassured, playing some great football. The second came from a great run from Aaron Ramsey who was brought down in the box for a penalty. Lacazette converted to get his second of the evening, slotting it into the bottom right with ease.
All round it was a solid performance, which the Gunners should build on, with more midtable opposition to come domestically. Let us know how you thought the players got on below:
