Arsene went with the line up that everyone wanted, bringing Alexandre Lacazette back into the team with Ozil and Alexis behind. The Gunners needed to hit full speed from the off, after losing to Manchester City before the international break.
The Frenchman nearly got the Gunners off to a great start, when Hector Bellerin fired a low ball across the face of goal. With two Tottenham players pressuring Lacazette, the striker couldn’t get a touch on it to put it into the back of the net.
Arsenal managed to get the 1st of the match ten minutes before halftime. Mesut Ozil floated a free kick into the box, with Shkodran Mustafi producing a guided headed which found it’s way into the top right corner.
The Gunners managed to make it two only seven minutes later. Lacazette got in behind the Spurs defence and played a low ball into the opposition area where Sanchez found himself in lots of space, managing to smash the ball into the back of the net to make it 2-0 to the home side.
It was all about keeping the lead in the second half, with the manager bringing on Coquelin and Iwobi late on to reassure the play. Arsenal managed to finish the match 2-0, although it could have probably been more.
