The Gunners have been linked to another centre back this week, after reports have been continuing that Arsenal are hoping to land Shkodran Mustafi. However it looks like the North London club might also be after fellow German centre back Lukas Klostermann.
According to the German outlet ‘Bild’, the Gunners are keeping an eye on the RB Leipzig defender. The youngster is currently playing in Rio at the Olympics, alongside Arsenal midfielder Serge Gnabry.
Nevertheless it looks like Arsenal could only be one of the names interested in the player; as it’s reported that Juventus, Ajax and Tottenham have had scouts watch the player last season.
The U21 international signed for the club in 2014 from Bochum and has been a regular in the team. The player is under contract until 2018, so it looks like it will take a lot for Arsenal to convince the defender to move.
However with Gabriel sustaining an injury in the pre-season friendly against Manchester City, it looks like Wenger might be struggling for defensive options in the first match against Liverpool.
