There have been reports in the media this morning that the Gunners are set to sign Portuguese midfielder Domingos Quina.
According to the reports the young midfielder is in advanced talks with the North London club and could sign the player in the next 48 hours. The youngster was also wanted by Liverpool, Tottenham as well as both Manchester United and City; but it is understood the Gunners have won the race to get his signature.
It is reported that Scouts from England’s top sides went to watch the play-maker in Croatia last week but the highly-rated youngster now looks set to move to the Emirates Stadium.
Quina was born in Guinea Bissau, brought up in Portugal and was on the books at Benfica as a youngster before being lured to The Blues as a 13-year-old. However he has apparently left the club before signing a scholarship deal, meaning he’s free to join another club.
