The Turkish club Besiktas have confirmed their interest in the Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, Besiktas were chasing the Colombian during the summer transfer window after it became clear Petr Cech was bought to be the Gunner’s number one, however no agreement could be reached.
The vice-president of the club Ahmet Nur Cebi said:
“We are interested in Ospina.
“Him and goalkeepers of his calibre, but just because we want him does not mean he will come. We have to agree with his club and take his contract into consideration.”
With both Wojciech Szczesny and Emi Martinez out on loan at Roma and Wolves respectively, it looks unlikely that Arsenal will let their number two goalkeeper go in January. If any deal is reached it looks unlikey that the Gunners would let Ospina go before the Summer.
