After last night’s defeat to Olympiakos it looks to get even worse for the Gunners, as Arsenal will be without Laurent Koscielny for this weekend’s match against Manchester United.
The French centre back seemed to tweak a hamstring after making a challenge early in the second half. He tried to play on for a while however he was eventually subbed for Per Mertesacker.
This will mean the German centre back will be the most likely to replace Koscielny at the Emirates on Sunday and link up with Gabriel for the centre back partnership.
“It is a hamstring,” said the manager.
“This is why I rotate as we play many games. The other teams do it as well. You look at the other teams in Europe’s benches and you will see them rotate.
“You cannot play every three days without rotating your players That is a fact and you have to accept that.”
